Koie Ryoji at the Ashmolean Museum

The Ashmolean is delighted to be hosting a one-day event for the internationally celebrated Japanese potter, Koie Ryoji. The day will include: a film presentation; a demonstration of pot throwing; a discussion between Koie Ryoji and Sebastian Blackie, Prof of Ceramics at Derby University; and gallery tours. Britain-based ceramic and mezzotint artist Okawa Nobuo will be translating for Koie Ryoji.
