New themes currently in the planning and production stages are:
Mamma Watta:
a large triptych based on nearly drowning as a very young boy, informed by and interweaved with the extraordinary proliferation of paintings, images and sculptures spanning the world and cultures of River Gods and associated myths and narratives.
And So to Ithaca:
a series that is largely based on C. G. Jung’s idea of ‘Individuation’ as evidenced in the poem ‘ITHACA’ by C. F. Cavafy coupled with wonderful and meaningful days spent in Athens with artists, designers, writers and educators.
The Sublime and the Brutal Quintets:
a series that contrasts notions of the arcadian sublime with often brutal and violent images available through contemporary media. There will, in the near future, be images of the works in progress including drawings, photographs and other research materials and references etc. These will be available through the ‘Drawing and Research Materials’ page of my website.
